Early this month China’s president Xi Jinping encouraged the country’s youth to establish “great ideals” and incorporate their personal goals into the “bigger picture” of the Chinese nation and people. “‘China’s hope lies in youth,” he said in a major speech.

China has disaffected youth, who are not enamored of the joys of China’s blend of communism and crony capitalism and lack of personal freedom????
They should call it Kimchi.
An aging society will do that to civilization. What is the point of working for somebody’s pension that you will not receive?
Well those who run China better strap on their Thinking Caps and find some methods that will give their youth a reason to keep working at trying for a good life.
For many, falling into dark hopelessness quickly turns into
acting out this frustration and anger in very destructive ways. I’m not saying all of them will become violent, but a fair number may.
Maybe China will see a good use for a national religion, but no, they are Communists before any thing, before any deity.
I guess violent anarchy IS the way of the future.
The youth can only tolerate anomie, unequal application of justice, and nihilism for so long before they decide to lash out.
Good thing I like to read about Medieval history. My local warlord primacy is already mapped out.

That attitude is happening here. Explains a lot of the killings. People with no values to begin with decide to do something about grievances...so what, there’s no hope anyway. Very dangerous times in which we live, to say the least.
If working hard won't get you a promotion because the government directs companies to hire people whose only qualification is the color of their skin or type of genitalia, why bother?
You work hard to buy a house only to have government take your tax money and give it to Section 8 neighbors.
You work hard to pay for government-aided illegal aliens.
You work hard only to have the government print more and more money to devalue what you have and rob your future.
When government employees take your tax money and use it against you, your rights, and your religion, why support them?
