They need to sue the coward police department and the teacher who left the door open.
“Suing the shooter prevents the estate from getting ‘ghoul money’.”
His estate is not going to get any ‘ghoul money’. His relatives might sell their stories.
The investigators from Texas DPS said he paid for them in full with his debit card from his checking account.
Let me pose a hypothetical...
Say the families have been paid off by the state not to sue the school, the cops, the county or the state. And when the families take the money, they are told they need to sign an NDA.
Well, not suing anybody is going to cause some understandable curiosity.
So to throw off people off wondering about of a taxpayer funded pay-off has occurred, families are allowed to sue the perp’s estate.
The suit will go nowhere, but that’s just fine with the people who let this happen.
Sportsman's Guide used to do that. Make the initial down and give them your card info and they charge in equal payments. Never could figure what would stop someone from canceling the card and keeping the guns.
Well I guess that they could split up his Xbox games I suppose..
“He’ll have to liquidate part of his trust fund.”
He had a trust fund?
Bingo
It would if the estate sold off his possessions at auction. This would block that.
“gun and ammunition manufacturers.”
And there it is.🙄
The estate is not worth the cost of the filing fee.
These days you can pay on time with many sellers but the buyer does not get the gun until payment is complete. It’s been at least twenty years since I heard of anyone getting a gun before finishing paying for it...
Then maybe they need to sue his handlers.
fbi stooges.
No, but the discovery might be. Lawfare has to start somewhere.
And tying his estate up so his no-account parents and grandparents can’t benefit from his notoriety is definitely worth it.
Sue the lazy ass coward cops instead.
I went and checked how Sportsman's Guide does it. They use a company called Sezzle. If you're a club member, then you can break it up in four payments over three months. If a non-member, it's four bi-weekly payments. So Sportsman's Guide is getting their money up front and Sezzle is the one on the hook for collecting. It must work or they wouldn't be using it. I guess it's not much different from using a credit card to buy the gun online and then owing the cc company.
The family will sue the gun store and the manufacturer, and all will be happy.
