I’m sorry, but Chuck Schumer invaded Ukraine? High-ranking Democrats created economic and geopolitical conditions that incentivized Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, but it was Putin who invaded Ukraine, not Nancy Pelosi.
Ukraine itself is an Eastern European kleptocracy, much like Russia and Bialarussia. But it is aspiring to become something better, despite the Azovs, Oligarchs and all the other nasty goings on typical of an Eastern European kleptocracy.
I hope they make it, but that’s beside the point. Even if they’re wallowing in corruption and loving it, they’re being invaded by Russia as part of a larger scheme that definitely will lead to WW III. They should be supported by the West because the West promised to help protect their sovereignty in exchange for them giving up their nukes. Period.
As for the media, the Democrats, and the whole motly lot of leftards, they are not my guide. They can agree with me, disagree with me, or stand on their heads. Truth is truth, and even a stopped clock is right twice a day. So their narrative du jour is to support Ukraine, and eight years ago it was to refuse to support Ukraine. Both narratives are motivated by ulterior motives and falsehoods, but the latest one at least has support-Ukraine-it’s-being-invaded in it, so they coincide with my opinion, at least for now. Earlier, Brandon was trying to avoid supporting Ukraine. Now he is supporting. He’s still an idiot, but now at least he’s making himself useful.
