Florida Rep. Ted Deutch, D- Boca Raton, didn’t make many waves when he was in the house, but he caused a tsunami by leaving.
Deutch announced in February that he would be retiring from congress to become the CEO of the American Jewish Committee.
I wrote on February 28:
It just got a lot more exciting here in Palm Beach County as there will undoubtedly be a massive brawl in both parties between everyone who wants to take a shot at this seat.
Rumors true: Ted Deutch to retire from Congress.

Ah, Boca. Probably would elect Alcee Hastings - if they could!
I grew up in Boca many many years ago. Is there a chance the GOP could win this district?
Isn't Donald Trump currently living in Palm Beach County?
Wouldn't it be amusing if he gets elected in this district, then gets elected Speaker of the House?
The look on Nancy face, as she hands the gavel to Trump, would be PRICELESS.
If the incumbent is retiring to become head of the AJC, I don't think donors should be wasting any money on shvartzes or goyim.
Normally I would say no, but this cycle is insane. Anything could happen.
Boca proper is actually a centrist town. The Mayor is a Republican.
