That goes to show you that you can get two dozen idiots to believe in something your brain screams at you to NOT do. It’s like the Biden Cult.
With my sister and mom I attended a bottle dancer show in the Caribbean.
The female dancer brought out several bottles and smashed them on a canvas rug laid out on concrete.
She proceeded to do an energetic dance on the broken glass.
Mom, who was normally a quiet individual kept shouting “Don’t do it!”
We never did figure out how the dancer was completely uninjured.
My guess is that it had something to do with the hot coals.
I believe it’s best to soak your feet beforehand to encourage leidenfrost effect.
CC
the more times the coals are walked on, the less powdered ash on them that helps the heat barrier
If this is not satire how in the hell could people be this damn STUPID, OMG!!!

Yup. Sometimes it gets humid, especially during monsoon season. When the air is dry, the nights are cooler. Like everywhere else, it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.
They dance on broken glass in India, too.
But THESE are ‘bottle dancers’:

‘Office Space” ??
You win the thread.
I was able to lay on a bed of nails once at a science museum. The trick seems to be (1) not to use really sharp nails and (2) to distribute your body weight so that it all isn’t in the same place.
Dwight could have taught them! https://youtu.be/2jB0a81opkQ
Very soft feet.
No rednecks in Switzerland
This is just too hilarious. Hopefully, the lessopthey learn here is don’t trust management especially when they tell you to walk on hot coals.
They sound like team players to me. Idiots, but team players. Quite the dilemma for the HR department.
Twice in college I got caught “bending the rules” on land surveying problems. Both times the professor made it seem like I was going to get into trouble - but then praised me/us (the survey team) on our resourcefulness in solving problems.
I would keep the folks that said no, or better yet, if a threw a bucket of water on the coals and walked across wearing sturdy work boots.
They were also goaded by the false concept that much of ones perceptions are illusory and that one can do ANYTHING once one puts their mind to it. So they could have thought that the previously injured probably just did it wrong and didn’t approach with the correct mindset. Dummies. Not smart to play with fire.
