These people have dropped all pretense of seriousness, and are merely pandering to their emotionally motivated base.
They are openly in pursuit of raw, naked power, and should be treated as such, not a fellow citizens with a good faith disagreement.
No more “compromises”. Larry Pratt was right in the 90s, compromise is just a slow death.

I wonder what the same Democrats would think if there was a new tax stamp required in order to write any article criticizing firearms. You write your article, submit a copy of it with your fee, and then you can publish the article.
It doesn't infringe on freedom of speech, it is just a tax.

This is simply the equivalent of a poll tax.

About as Constitutional as poll taxes.
An argument could be made that current sales taxes on firearms, or any weapon, is an infringement on a constitutional franchise.
Same goes for conceal carry permits.

We can thank Justice Roberts for this.
He gave the democrats the idea that if they couch it as a tax, they can do anything they want.

Taxing something the 2nd amendment recognizes as a right to the point of making it out of your reach is still infringement. Dear Lord, forgive me for the hatred these people keep bringing out in me.
