I attained the rank of E5 in the USAF.
I don’t have a very high regard for commissioned officers.
I now have a 4 year BS STEM degree and I fail to see why that would make me a better soldier than I was as a Non-Com.
Training is the issue. I can teach an 8th grader to code.
We can teach teenagers to fly a modern jet.
Officers are needed but they should be like a rare bunch of people with highly specialized training.
How to fight a war and win.
That is it.

From Russia’s MOD Telegram channel. Too bad they can’t just post on Twitter, or cover what they say on one of the wires, but they just don’t.

💥 Kalibr high-precision long-distance sea-based missiles were launched at a command post of the Ukrainian troops near the village of Shirokaya Dacha (Dnepropetrovsk region) at the moment when there was being held a working meeting of the commanders of Aleksandriya operational-strategic group. The attack has resulted in eliminating more than 50 generals and officers of the AFU, including those of the General Staff, the Kakhovka group, airborne assault troops and units that operate towards Nikolayev and Zaporozhye.

❗️ Big losses of the AFU in manpower force the Ukrainian command to involve unprepared personnel in combats, despite their lack of necessary skills in using armament and military equipment. 2 Su-25 assault fighters of the Ukrainian Air Force launched an attack at the positions of its units near Shirokoye (Dnepropetrovsk region).

💥 Kalibr high-precision long-distance missiles destroyed 10 M777 155-mm howitzers and up to 20 armoured combat vehicles delivered by the West to the Kiev regime over the past 10 days that were located in a transformer plant in Nikolayev.

📹 Footage of salvo launch of Kalibr cruise missiles at the Ukrainian armed forces’ military infrastructure and combat operation of Iskander-M complexes has been published. Russian military medics continue to provide assistance to the residents of Lugansk People’s Republic.

*****

You’re saying, in terms of them getting blowed up, your at best neutral, regardless of what army they serve?

I saw that RT link, too, but I actually thought the NeoCons would be less offended by the Iranian link.

“They should have zoomed the meeting.”

~~~~~~~
Russia “zoomed” it first... This may be it... Or one like it...
“I don’t have a very high regard for commissioned officers”
I heard kind of a reverse story on that told to me by a sailor (merchant ships). Sailors complaining about awful chief mates. What it came down to, he stated, “He just made them do their jobs”
Knowing that most armies are “top heavy” more dead officers the better.
One of my best friends is a retired Lt Colonel USMC.
My BIL is retired Gunny Sarge USMC.
I’d go to war with either of them.
But to be honest I don’t see why the Colonel
is any different from my BIL,
in War.
#6. The Russian standard propaganda procedure at work. Get some snacks, sit back, and watch as the pro-CCCP 2.0 side pretends what the Russian MOD says is real.
Funny how you changed “Fifty generals and officers” to “50 Generals.” Just what the hell do you think Ukraine would have 50 generals in one place for? FIFTY?
Taking it down from Iranian propaganda, presuming its true, what is meant is “50 officers, including multiple generals.” Which would be a huge news story. But you rabid propagandists say 50 generals? That’s absurd.
That’s the way some of the stories out there lead, I posted what the MOD actually said. Don’t worry, you are winning.
That’s a lie. The Ministry of Defense said “Fifty Generals and officers,” which, itself, is an absurd way to wrote “50 officers, including generals.” But the hysterical Iranian propaganda wasn’t enough for you; you made a claim increasing the number of generals killed from somewhere between 2 and 49 to 50. You wrote that. No-one else did.
Thermobaric bombs, also called aerosol bombs or vacuum bombs or fuel air
bombs, have to deploy their cloud of fuel in a large area to mix with the air of
the target area, setting off the additional shock of the a pop of a huge vacuum
bubble once all that air and fuel transform into light and heat and a bit of vapor
and soot. Such bombs tend to come in a LOT slower than this missile, in order
to have time to spray out and atomize their fuel load into a nice big cloud, well
before ignition.
Whatever this was, it appears to have punched fast and deep into the ground
before it popped.
More than 50 generals? How many generals do you think Ukraine even has? Leave the propaganda up to people who know the first bloody thing about the military, won’t you? You sound like one of those people who claimed that
“millions” of people were killed in New Orleans.
You seem blissfully unaware that it is a badge of honor to be called a “neocon” by useful idiots and/or fellow travelers of the Kremlin.
