They are dead wrong - the 2024 election is all about Trump - it IS personal. They stole the election from a President who gave us 4 years of peace and prosperity and would have given us another 4.
Now look where we are, and it’s ALL because they stole it in 2020. We can’t let that stand - this election has to be a referendum on the stolen election - the crime of the century.
Of course the economy is important. Of course national security is important. Of course the issues are important. But there’s no Republic if they can steal an election and we just “move on” and no one dares to talk about it.

I think you just made the case that it’s all about the Republic.
It may be personal to Donald Trump but it was our Republic that was attacked and is now teetering on the edge of destruction.
A lot of it is/was personal. I’m willing to let the coming year happen in order to define the electoral issues. If it’s about going to be going to or continuing war with ... pretty much anyone (but probably Russia and/or China), then Trump’s got no chance, because they will just cheat. If it’s about having food and electricity, then Trump will easily win. If it’s the second one, and he wins, a lot of really unpleasant things will need to be done to make it matter.

Since establishment Republicans have avoided and obstructed any mention of the very questionable election results, it’s easy to conclude that they were materially involve. Maybe not in the actual operations, but in the continuing coverup. If they were not involved, why have they not been clamoring for a thorough investigation to determine what the truth is?
I agree with you on Trump making it personal, especially this far out from the actual election for President. But I think the argument about the economy and security is that President Trump has already proven he knows how to fix the economy and knows better than anyone how to secure the borders. He has a proven track record on these.
