- with McConnell and 14 other Republicans giving it a boost

The Senate voted 65 to 34 to end a Republican-led filibuster on the gun reform package, with final passage coming as early as later Thursday

Senators were working on an agreement that would allow them to expedite the process instead of waiting 30 hours for a final vote

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was among the 15 Republicans to vote in favor of the package

The House could pass the package by the end of the week House Republican leadership is encouraging members to vote against it

Term Limits, via Convention Of States. It’s the only solution.

I would hope that Trump would take that position. He has been quite slow in working to get the state legislatures involved, and recruiting and endorsing better candidates. A convention of states is the best way forward IMHO.

I’ve never voted for a Democrat (except a few in Republican jerseys), and I never will until I’m dead. Then I will be a reliable D vote.

What the Founding Fathers, the US Constitution & the US Supreme Court provide us (the right to self defense with a firearm), corrupt GOP leadership, beholden to the Military Industrial Complex & Globohomo expansion across the world, vote to take away.

You can lose your self-defense weapon based upon unproven allegations made by liars.

“..That was one beautiful greeting. He should receive that everywhere he goes to publicly speak the rest of his life...”

True.
An even better “greeting” is for this traitorous POS to be immediately arrested the very second his foot touches sovereign Texas soil. Doesn’t matter what the charge, even a trumped-up one that makes him have to fight it for a good long time....just like they’ve been doing to the Trump-associated folks. Treat the POS just like they treat the Jan. 6 guys....make him pay and pay dearly for his “defense”.

The title of the article notes that they *do* have the votes to overcome the filibuster.

That said; the Red Flag provisions is a very big foot in the door to taking away ALL our rights to firearms, as well as the due process issue.

Yes. I don't remember the exact quote he said. Though he used Karl Marx reason why capitalism can't work. Generally saying the US needed war to sustain itself and he actually believed it.
The idiot should've been tared and feathered. Though I think an insane asylum might have helped him.

This is Rino thinking... if you are going to call out dems in office that betray us we need to call out this shit being done by those who claim to be conservative.... it’s his right to vote for a rat but don’t think you are behaving any differently than the republicans that voted on this bill... the time to vote them out is in the primary not a general election.

I will work very hard to prevent Cornyn from any public office.

Good luck. I’ve poured resources into election his primary challengers for the past 3 elections but Texas voters are to ignorant, too corrupt, or both. Cornyn always wins primaries by wide margins. Not even this will hurt him. We have a seriously expansive swamp here in Texas. All the way back to LBJ.

Not if they switch things up. They have the votes for the meaningless fluff in there now, not anything else.

You maybe want to look at what’s in there again....

From there on down on that thread. It will ban 12 gauge shotguns and larger, you can be prosecuted for simply assembling an AR-15 after cleaning it... more fun in there. Mandatory ten year sentence for any violation.
