Robert joining makes me really uneasy. I wonder if this all wasn’t a ploy to enable Congress now to decide abortion and make it law of the land. I feel like Pelosi, Schumer, will use nuclear option soon to ram through abortion up to and including day of birth. This is an election year aftercall and using nuclear to make abortion legal gives them cover to do so.
Maybe just over-thinking a rare win that includes Roberts.

If we’re really being constitutional about it, wouldn’t it be something reserved for the states as opposed to Congress?

Not just before the mid-terms. The Democrats who were nominally pro-life and voted for Obamacare didn't even bother running for re-election.
The problem is the lame duck session after November. Of course, if they use the nuclear option then, and the Republicans take control in 2023, WE get to use it.
