“Fact: Laws restricting teen access to abortion are coercive.”

But convincing her to cut out her uterus, have a radical double mastectomy and sew on an artificial penis is just fine.

I consider the justices decision to be reasonable and moderate giving abortion back to the states where they can go anywhere from no abortions to abortions during the full term of pregnancy.

This decision allows a place for abortion in this country and it also allows a place for abortion to be restricted or prohibited in this country.

It’s a “Live and Let Live” ruling if we reflect upon it but that’s not happening out there in a lot of people’s minds.

If i plan for two weeks in advance to kill my neighbor, and than complete the task, i am charged with murder in the first degree. How is abortion any different?

Wolf has certainly become more moderate over the years. She was pretty radical when she first hit the scene.

Planned Parenthood should change the focus of their mission to focus upon not having abortions done in the neighborhood, but to provide the costs of transportation and housing of the indigent females who cannot afford to travel or cover their rent, while they are moved to other localities where abortion is acceptable, The same for Ruth Sent Us or Jane’s Revenge.

Had nothing to do with pro-choice anything, it was done because Roe was a crap decision legally and no Scotus since has had the guts or the votes to reverse it.

Live and let live isn’t anywhere in the liberal agenda.

Not too surprising from communists

Biden’s DOJ argued all or nothing. Ban the 15 week limit and make abortion on demand or over turn Roe and Casey. The court obliged.

So the pro-choice movement lost the middle of America — as well as losing the moral high ground — by its insistence that, state by state, we must allow teenage girls to be able to choose abortions without parental consent or even knowledge.

I’ve heard others make this argument; that this is just a predictable backlash to overreach by radicals. But the data don’t bear that out, at all.

The public hasn’t recoiled, the pro-life side just finally succeeded in getting the judicial outcome they’ve been working towards for decades.

This has nothing to do with public sentiment, just hardball politics.

Naomi Wolf has certainly become more moderate over the years. She was pretty radical when she first hit the scene.

To be fair, I recognize that she is unchanged, from her essay from 1995 to now. What has changed is the “leading liberal edge”, much more liberal, entirely more demanding and less tolerant, and pushing and pushing for more radical changes until even the once leading edge people seem moderate by comparison.

JFK, for example would be labeled a conservative by today’s standards.

“Fact: Laws ... are coercive.”

Pretty much the definition of laws except for the trivial ones declaring February 30 to be national trilobite day. Laws either force someone to do something he doesn't want, punish him for doing what he does want or forcing him to pay for something he wouldn't otherwise pay for. A lot of trouble happens when people pretend there is a smiley face on the government and that it isn't based on force and violence.
