U.S. forces killed a senior terrorist leader in an airstrike in Syria on Monday, according to military officials.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said the target of the strike, Abu Hamzah al Yemeni, was a senior leader of an al-Qaida-affiliated terrorist group known as Hurras al-Din.
The leader was riding alone on a motorcycle in Idlib province at the time of the attack, CENTCOM said.
Violent groups like Hurras al-Din pose an ongoing threat to the U.S. and its allies, according to the statement.
"The removal of this senior leader will disrupt Al Qaeda's ability to carry out attacks against U.S. citizens our partners, and innocent civilians around the world," the statement said.

our government is telling abc news that they killed someone on a motorcycle in Syria. They are saying that they are pretty sure it was the right person. And that he was bad. We have to take their word for it. knowing that in other times their word has not been very reliable. But we are thankful that this time there were not children on the motorcycle too. Or at least they are not admitting to that.

We armed other Al Qaeda in Syria. We arm some, kill some of them and ignore others.
We should not be in Syria. Let Assad take care of it.
