There are consequences for breaking long standing treaties.

Good news...the UN/NATO established the ‘duty to protect’ in 1999 when it intervened in the Serbia conflict and ginned up the country Bosnia from thin air. Same precedent applies to Russia and the Donbas...just without the Soros crowd stamp of approval.

Exactly what part of the treaty do you think is being violated?

Ping for later. There is a YouTuber from Svalbard that I watch regularly. I’ll have to send her a message and see if I can get her take on this development.

When I’m President I will. Until then we are stuck with this gang of chowderheads.

Why on earth would anyone pay attention to chowderheads when it comes to war? This border war? Demented Joe hasn't taken a position I agree with for the 50 years he's been in congress and now that he's in diapers, that isn't going to change.

“Demented Joe hasn’t taken a position I agree with for the 50 years he’s been in congress and now that he’s in diapers, that isn’t going to change.”

My question still stands. What are we to do about it today?

50 people were roasted alive by a couple of cartel smugglers and Biden hasn’t done a damned thing to stop the flow of drugs and people pouring over the border by the thousands every single week.

The Governor of Texas needs to declare a State of Emergency after this horror and stop all truck and rail traffic until every single container is thoroughly inspected for any contraband. Activate the Texas Guard if he has to.

Dare Biden to stop him. Have his AG announce loudly that a Grand Jury will be empaneled to lay Capital Murder charges against the savages who did this and that if convicted Texas will insist on the death penalty and carry it out as soon as possible.

Let that chucklehead defend the cartel members who murdered all those people.

What are we to do about it today?

How about nothing? We're fast tumbling into a wider war, one that the administration wants since it distracts the cheerleaders from the miserable state of America. For the constitution wavers among us, what Biden is doing is blatantly unconstitutional. How about making that an impeachment charge? How about we thank Rand Paul for asking for an audit of the $40bn our Senate Betters handed over to Zalenskyyy. With the midterms coming up we're in a good position to get the attention of these congressional flacks. It's time to demand that Biden come to the nation and explain, step by step, his Ukraine policy and what exactly the insertions of an enhanced military presence in Poland means to America, and how much will it cost? Finally, why on earth are they going to Poland and not our Southern border? We need what remains of the American people to see this idiot, unscripted, in prime time, make the case for world war.

These are all excellent ideas. I’m hammering my two useless Dem Senators weekly along with my equally useless Dem Congresscritter.

Beyond that’s there’s not much I can do from here in the Peoples Republik of Illinois.

With any luck the Dems will get destroyed in the mid terms and the Republicans in the House and Senate will impeach President Pudding Cup.

Hey, a guy can dream. Right?

I hear ya’ and the last time I called Toomey I wasn’t very polite, so that’s not happening for me. I do have a Rep that’s ok, so I’ll bother him a bit. It’s a shame there isn’t a strong national effort to unify us, but I suppose that’s what they want. Oh well, time to tilt at some windmills :)

You just compared the invasion of our nation from the south
to something you wish to support.

Does that mean you support both, or you finally woke up?

Doughty, you haven’t made since you saluted GW Bush and his intervention into the Middle East. What happened to the Pat Buchanan guy you used to be?

Thanks for ignoring my question.

You’re lecturing me on grasping international affairs?

LOL

How many nations has Iraq invaded since Bush took out Hussein? Have they threatened any of their neighbors?

Has Iraq fired scuds into Israel or Saudi Arabia recently?

Have they attacked Iran?

Have they re=captured Kuwait recently?

Until over run by ISIS, Iraq was relatively peaceful.

Saddam’s sons weren’t killing husbands to sleep with their
wives. Political prisoner populations were the lowest they
had been in decades.

Hussein was not offering to support international terrorists
against the U. S. any longer.

He was not able to continue to pay $25,000 dollars to the
family of suicide bombers against Israel.

Good to know you supported all this when Hussein was
at the helm. Nah, you didn’t want any of that stopped.

So here’s a defense of Bush nation building and Cheney’s Project for a New American Century. How embarrassing you are. Why not curl up with your latest copy of National Review and get some interventionist talking points. This 💩 crap you just wrote is 20 years old and throughly debunked, at least by MAGA Trump supporters.

I don’t form my opinions by how popular they are or are not
with other people. I’ve never read a national review
article other than here if they appeared here, and I
would have addressed what I thought was right or wrong
with what I read.

This is the second post you have ignored everything I have
said because you can’t refute what I said.

Debunked?

Iraq did not have a record of attacking, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi
Arabia, and Israel?

Some reports state that 500,000 per side died in the
Iraq/Iran war, which Iraq started?

Iraq occupied Kuwait, pillage it, and intend to keep
it?

Saddam Hussein offered financial support to terrorists
around the world who attacked the United States?

Saddam Hussein paid $25,000 to the family of any
terrorists who suicide bombed Israel?

His sons were hated by the Iraqi people. Hussein was
also.

These were ghoulish people. You refuse to admit it?

When was all this debunked? Silly...

History has debunked Bush and his Neocon intervention. Three trillion US tax dollars thrown into a cesspool of corruption has debunked Iraq. How about nearly 5000 Americans kids dead and countless wounded for some hazy nation building scheme? Yellow cake anyone?? Please, go sell your nonsense to someone else. The Iraqi debacle is a Bush stain on our history and it took Donald Trump to relegate it to the dustbin of history.

Jon, your insults don’t matter to me.

You can’t refute what I stated. That’s very telling.

Sanctions were set up to reign Hussein in, and he was
breaking them. He was flying outside the flight zone,
he was moving large bodies of troops up to the borders
of neighboring nations, also an infraction put into
place to stop him from being a threat to his neighbors.

It was deal with Hussein on his own soil, or deal with
him after he attacked and destroyed much of another
nation.

You can look all this up if you’ve forgotten it all.

I loathe the Bush family and refused to vote for him
the first time around. I voted for him the second time
around because I couldn’t stand seeing John F. Kerry
get a shot at the top spot.

What did you want us to do? The twin towers were attacked
and Hussein was the most visible terrorist supporter on
the planet.

So yeah, we took him out and the world is a better place
for it.

The only answer you’ll get from me regarding that illegal, useless, sick war is: WHAT SADDAM DID OR DIDN’T DO WAS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. THERE WAS NO WMD (Bush said so himself after the dust cleared and he was safely in Crawford pretending to be a Texan). Doughty, you might be the very last person on the planet trying to breathe life into that monstrosity, and that says everything I need to know about you. Any effort to pitch neoconservativism and nation building holds no interest for me. And if you’re unsure that’s what you’re doing it’s best you take a step back. Age catches up to all of us, some quicker than others.

what led up to the war.

Sorry to see you go Jon.
