Trump was STUPID to hold a Jan 6 rally in Dem-dominated DC. A city where every previous Trump rally, beginning with his inauguration, had led to violence of one level or another, whether caused by antifa or random hooliganism or whoever
Trump put his supporters at risk by holding another rally in Dc - especially on Jan 6, the day the electoral votes were to be counted. He knew there was risk - if it’s true that he asked for national guard, that SHOWS he knew there was danger. When no national guard was authorized to provide protection, he definitely shouldn’t have sent his supporters to rally at the Capitol building. And the rally at the Elipse was too great a risk, too. It should never have been scheduled
Trump was dumb and selfish - and hundred of his supporters got sucked into a dangerous situation - dangers that Trump should have foreseen because they were foreseeable
Notice that none of his family walked to the Capitol. They apparently weren’t going to take any chances. Only his blue collar supporters were sent into peril

I do believe that in the lead up to the 24 primaries, we GOPers need to have a robust debate, but a reasoned one.
I lean more toward DeSantis every day, however if Trump wins the nod, I'm 100% in his corner, and will work hard to support him.
Calling him "stupid" serves no good purpose.
We are all on the same team, we are in the 2-year process of electing our captain.
We should not "foul the footpath" for either one at this time.

Incorrect. The District of Columbia is the exact right location to protest: "...the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
And January 6th is the exact right day to do it, when a fraudulent election was being certified.
Trump cannot help it that Roy Epps and other FBI Agent Provocateurs infiltrated the protest to encourage non-peaceable protest; nor can he help it that Nancy Pelosi specifically and pointedly made sure there were fewer law enforcement officials than were needed.
Trump is not responsible in any way, implied or explicity, for any mayhem. For blame on those, you might want to look at the FBI and Nancy Pelosi....
