PARIS AND WASHINGTON — Congress is pushing for more U.S. soldiers in Europe in its fiscal 2023 draft defense policy bills as the Russian invasion of Ukraine grinds on into its fifth month.
The move aligns with President Joe Biden’s June 29 remarks at the NATO summit in Madrid, Spain, where he said the U.S. will establish a permanent base in Poland and will also send two additional F-35 fighter jet squadrons to the UK as well as more air defense, among other capabilities, to Italy and Germany.

They will need to start the draft again. And it is always the Democrats that do this stuff!
They are pushing for war. That Ukraine has lost and should have surrendered months ago.
Send their own sons and daughters. Except many of them are two frickin’ old to have eligible children still living at home.
I don’t believe it! We need to stay away from the fray. It’s a European problem, let them handle it. The mother Eagle at some point pushes the eaglet out of the nest and lets it fly on its own.
The Ukraine war is a gift to the rats. They want it to drag on and on.
Trump warned them. The deep state drove him out, arranged a puppet as President and reversed everything he did, and then some.
Our border is where our military should be.
Our country is being invaded and that is what we have a military for.
