Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney suggested the Second Amendment and the United States Supreme Court were too lenient when it came to gun rights, following a shooting that injured two police officers near a Fourth of July event on Monday night. Standing outside the hospital where the two police officers were treated for gunshot injuries, Kenney told a group of reporters that only police officers should be allowed to own guns and that he is looking forward to retiring, so he no longer has to deal with gun violence.

Translation: "My policies and those of the dirtbag DA have resulted in a massive increase in violent crime. But let's blame the law-abiding and not allow them to protect themselves."

In a sane world, everyone would understand that these corrupt jerks are literally on the side of the evil-doers.

He should retire, because he has not dealt with violence in his city.

Retire? He should be forced out of office, arrested and jailed. Not only has he "not dealt with it," his policies have made things much, much worse. At some point, people are going to have to start holding these "civil servants" accountable for their malfeasance.

But let's blame ….

Fill in the blank. They all lack accountability for their own failed policies. Brandan is doing the same.

Mayor Kenney has a right to his own opinion, as wrong as it is. But it would be nice if he would comment on the armed private security that only rich folks can afford.

For example, Rosie O’Donnell hates the 2A. But she admits that she has armed private security. Mr. Kenney, should O’Donnell’s security people give up their guns? Please let us know, ASAP.

What an error-filled effort that “rescue” was.

Only citizens should have power not dictatorial elected officials.

It is always what you end up with Friend. it just takes some longer to reach that point than others. You will also get the pits, the "enemies of the State" kneeling at the edge of said pit, with the officer with the pistol to the back of his head pulling the trigger.

It is like love and marriage. Or a horse and carriage. They all go together.

Laws don’t mean diddly-squat if certain people ignore them, and you know whom I’m referring to.

I remember some thirty or forty years ago reading election statistics from Philadelphia. In several precincts, there were 15+% more ballots than registered voters. While I was aghast, the preponderantly dem locals never seemed concerned about such things and year after year never lifted a finger to right such obvious wrongs.

Even my wildly Leftist sister decided to leave the area for Indiana a couple of years ago, even though her son continues to be heavily involved in Philadelphia area politics.

Well, Jayland Walker was shot too many times by cops with guns.

So cops shouldn’t have guns either.

Or just one round each, carried in their shirt pocket.

In Nazi Germany the people were disarmed and only the local police, Gestapo and military were armed.

That won’t happen. The privileged get armed details, no matter what.
