I haven’t been following British politics enough. But my take is that they’re still sore on Brexit so when Boris Johnson “messed up” so now they are using this opportunity to get rid of him. He’s probably the best they have and the next leader will be the Tory version of Mitt Romney.

You and most others know that it's just a weak excuse. Those so-called Boris scandals are ‘trumped-up’ like the cheap impeachment action taken against Trump for his perfectly normal call to some Ukrainian official. Remember that one? Johnson's scandals are diddly-squat compared to Biden's treasonous criminality of selling our crude to his corrupt partner China, who clearly is our number one enemy. Talk about giving aid nd comfort to the enemy?

“But my take is that they’re still sore on Brexit...”
