Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed an executive order Thursday allowing the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Texas National Guard to arrest and return illegal migrants to the border.
“While President Biden refuses to do his job and enforce the immigration laws enacted by Congress, the State of Texas is once again stepping up and taking unprecedented action to protect Americans and secure our southern border. The cartels have become emboldened and enriched by President Biden’s open border policies, smuggling in record numbers of people, weapons, and deadly drugs like fentanyl,” Abbott said in a statement.

Bank robberies are a “federal thing” too, but State and Local cops respond to them.
I am born and raised in Texas. Abbott means well, but nothing ever gets done. This will never happen. Don’t forget, he’s in the Surrender Party. Brandon will scowl and whisper at him and Abbott will run.

I would like to see Trump pull his endorsement of Abbott. Then, I would like to see a pro-MAGA candidate who vowed to shut down the border like Col Allen West. Then, I would like to see Trump endorse him instead.

This law that will rarely be enforced does nothing. It catch and release Texas style. I can’t wait to not vote for do nothing Abbott.
He’s returning them to the border where they will be turned over to Border Patrol who will then release them into the USA, it a useless gesture.
They are not being returned to Mexico, just to ports of entry, where the Border Patrol will process them for release into the US.
Abortion is NOT a constitutional issue, it never was, and never should be...it is an issue that should be decided by citizens in each State, and be voted on as State law. This does not ban Abortion nation wide, rather limits the procedure to States that allow it.
