I don’t know that there’s a constitutional basis to do it but it makes a hell of a lot more sense than just assuming you know who drop box ballots were for and in what proportions.

That would have been a big mistake - Trump won the swing states and needed those electoral college votes to get the required 270. The last thing we’d want to do is throw out those votes and tally without them.
Instead, just identify which ballots were illegal and throw them out. The drop box ballots had zero chain of custody. They can’t prove they represented real voters (because they DIDN’T represent real voters).
People who are concerned about whether or not the drop box ballots favored Biden can rest assured they did. They were probably close to 100% Biden. Think about it - that was the whole point of drop boxes - to enable Democrat cheating.
The drop boxes and related procedures made it impossible to validate the ballots, and that’s precisely WHY the Democrats pushed for them - that’s why they set them up in the first place - to launder their counterfeit ballots.
They claimed they were for Covid safety - but anyone who really believes that must have just fallen off the turnip truck. If it were really about Covid safety the Democrats would not have been so determined to waive signature verification, ID requirements, and cleaning up the registration rolls. They would not have fought so hard to prevent Republican poll watchers to observe the counting.
No, everything they did - including drop boxes - was to make it easier to cheat and erase any audit trail - it had nothing to do with Covid safety.
So, exclude the drop box ballots and any unverified mailed-in ballots, and count the rest. Trump wins in a landslide.
