Harrowing video footage shows 7- and 8-year-old baseball players cowering for cover as gunshots rang out at a Little League state championship game in North Carolina.
The footage showed under-8 players as well as the adults officiating initially frozen in fear as at least three shots rang out Sunday — with one landing just feet from a player, WITN said.
Most of the players then dropped to the ground while a handful fled the field in Wilson as a chorus of adults screamed, “Get down!”
The clip ended with the youngsters on the ground trying to crawl to safety.
“No child or parent should ever experience anything like this,” insisted the South Durham Little League, whose 8U Orange All Star team was one of the teams playing at the time.

Wilson has gone downhill. You can get really nice houses cheap there now because everyone is moving away. Rocky Mount is the same. Henderson has been a nightmare for a long time now.

Insane with that bullet strike right by that kid. Wilson can be violent in certain parts but this is ridiculous. we had that happen in my town about 6 years ago while my son was practicing on the field. We are about 45 mins from where this was. hood rats gonna hood rat.

He’ll never do THAT again.
Read that. He needed to die a horrible and prolonged death right there as a lesson to others. But “not immediately arrested.” Great example of how there are no consequences for crime.
