Washington Examiner is a NeverTrump stronghold, so this article needs to be read with that in mind.
Trump, after learning how malignant the swamp has become during his first administration, now has a better grasp of what needs to be done to clean out the Capitol District than any major politician in my lifetime. So he has my full support if he’s healthy and runs in 2024.
OTOH, it’s prudent to think about a plan B if his health deteriorates or he doesn’t run. Does DeSantis have the same fire? I gather that he’s good, but does he have what it takes to raze the bureaucracy in Washington? No president can unilaterally reform the corrupted institutions that are dragging our country down (media, academia, entertainment, etc.), but we at least need someone who will fight back and reform the institution of federal government that _is_ nominally under his control.

How do you know his mind? He hired the swamp last time. He didn’t need four years of on the job “learning” to know that Bolton, Wray, Esper, Mattis, and Barr are the swamp. I knew they were, so he must have known, unless you think he’s not bright
