I was extremely lucky to be working in an embassy when Trump fired all of the seventh floor DoS people. Every single person from the DoS in that embassy walked around like it was 9/11 all over. Maybe for them it was.
But they sure acted differently with the host nation for quite awhile afterwards. Afraid they would be let go also if they played the old game.
2016 election night at the embassy was real fun too. At least for me and mine.
It is obvious you understand how infected DoS. Imagine them being replaced with people that actually had the best interests of Americans.
