Well, he’s not wrong...there is nobody else out there that can even come close.
But it doesn’t appear like Desantis will run seriously against Trump...and any of the other wannabees who do try to run seriously won’t come any closer than 1 or 2 delegates at the convention at best.
It actually wouldn’t surprise me to see Desantis start a run...just to get on the national scene and build up the national political infrastructure he’ll need in 2028 for a real run and then bow out gracefully when the time is right...but if he does run, he’ll just be saying the same things that Trump says...I don’t see them digging into each other.
Desantis is not crazy. He would never run against Trump, ever.
