Twitter censors Marjorie Taylor Greene’s ‘hateful’ tweet about transgender Biden official Rachel Levine

Twitter attached disclaimers and turned off comments and retweets for a post by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) in which she mocks Adm. Rachel Levine, the transgender Biden administration official.

In two tweets, Greene referred to Levine, a transgender woman who was born a man and given the name Richard Levine, as “Dr. Dick Levine,” a practice known as “deadnaming,” or calling a transgender person by their original name to mock and denigrate them.

“We must do everything we can to prevent Dr. Dick Levine’s pre-teen #WeenieChop,” Greene tweeted from her official account.

Twitter declined to remove the post, citing Greene’s status as a public figure, but prevented other users from liking it or commenting on it.

“This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about hateful conduct,” the post read.

“However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public’s interest for the Tweet to remain accessible.”

In a subsequent tweet, Greene wrote: “Now that I think about it. As Dr. Dick Levine advocates for ‘gender affirming care’ for minors, has he undergone the #WeenieChop himself? Or is he just pushing this on children?”

Twitter attached the same disclaimer to that post.

Gay and trans rights groups condemned Greene and blasted Twitter for not going far enough in punishing Greene.

Because, no other forum approaches any meaningful level of reach that Twitter does. Truth Social et. al. are basically meaningless. Your neighborhood Nextdoor social media has a greater reach than something like Free Republic.

It’s a fair question. Levine seems to make no effort at looking like a woman other than shaving and wearing skirts. He’s what we used to simple call a “cross dresser” or “transvestite”.

I’d bet he hasn’t participated in any medical or surgical gender affirming procedures.
