He should have started firing at the top and keep firing until the got to someone who would release the documents. Then start with the next guy at the top and work your way down. Decimation - literally - and when it fails do it again. It might fail - you have fired everyone and the documents still haven’t been released, but then again maybe the janitor left over as acting AG will be a patriot. It is not true that there are NO e.g. zero patriots in DC.

This is why I’m for Desantis. He’s smarter, disciplined, articulate, and good at hiring loyal people who share his agenda.

With Mitch running the Senate DeSantis doesn't get to hire anyone he wants. Only folks acceptable to Mitch.

I believe Trump was ignorant of the allegiances of the politicians he appointed and relied on the DC Swamp Republicans to tell him which candidates were most conservative and dedicated to upholding the Constitution.

“ With Mitch running the Senate …”

Trump didn’t fight Mitch. He actually endorsed him. In contrast, Desantis went after the RINO who heads the Florida senate , Desantis said that if he didn’t get with Desantis’s agenda, the governor would recruit a primary challenger and end his political career. So the Senate RINO complied

Desantis doesn’t let RINOs roll him the way Trump let himself be rolled by Mitch

“ I believe Trump was ignorant of the allegiances of the politicians he appointed and relied on the DC Swamp Republicans”

Yup. Hard to believe he would campaign on “draining the swamp” and then show so little understanding about who was the swamp and how to fight them. He really put very little time and effort into educating himself. If only he’d spent less time tweeting on Harry and Meghan, and more time on important personnel matters … The average freeper was much more sophisticated than Trump on this score. This is why I’m for Desantis in 2024. He doesn’t tweet. He is too busy governing.

This will probably never happen but what needs to be done is a “Republican” congress, under newly elected PDJT, need to pass a law placing all government employees under a “civilian” equivalent of the UCMJ’s failure to obey a lawful order. The law would need to set up an Administrative Law Judge system to hold employees accused of failure to obey a lawful order accountable. If found guilty they would be immediately terminated. Any appeals would be as a “former” employee with the possibility of having the guilty finding overturned and lost wages awarded and the position reinstated.

This would stop 75-80% of the failure to obey cases that are so rampant in government. Most employees will not risk their livelihood for the cause. Currently there are no consequences for not following orders.

Sounds to me like a good idea.

It certainly would end the practice of government employees ignoring a court order or refusals to cooperate with congressional needs.

But courts already have the power to punish for contempt and they rarely if ever use that power against a high raking politician.

Like every other profession, there are both demons and wimps in the court system.

Agree. I believe Trump did a great job trying to rebuild America but his attitude turns a lot of voters off.
