Judge blocks Biden administration's transgender school bathroom rule, athletes

A Federal judge has blocked a directive from President Joe Biden’s administration that allowed transgender workers and students to use school restrooms matching their gender identities.

It also allowed transgender athletes to join sports teams corresponding with their chosen genders.

The directive was blocked by Judge Charles Atchley Jr. of the Eastern District of Tennessee, a Trump appointee, after a coalition of 20 Republican attorneys general sued last year, Reuters reported.

The plaintiffs argued the federal directive clashed with state laws and prevented states from enforcing their own laws that banned transgender school bathroom use.

Judge Atchley agreed, saying in his opinion the states "cannot continue regulating pursuant to their state laws while simultaneously complying with Defendants' guidance," Reuters reported.

The states also argued the Biden administration's Justice Department, the Department of Education and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission — the defendants in the case — improperly justified the bathroom directive through the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Bostock v. Clayton County.

Judges with aspirations in higher courts should toss aside the leftist garbage or the stink will never wash off.

What I hope to read someday soon:
Judge Atchley agreed, saying in his opinion the states "cannot comply with the utter insanity coming from Washington DC that defies all common sense, irreparably harms our children, destroys women's sports, causes untold anguish among normal citizens, and will be the downfall of Western Civilization."

Is the pendulum starting to swing to the “sane” side. All this gender cr** should have never come about. Be whatever you want....but don’t take away MY rights...to privacy in particular...or force me to support your perversity with the pronoun cr**.

Shouldn’t take a federal judge to keep “Janitor Janet” (formerly known as Jim) the hell out of the girls restrooms.

Let’s go back to where behavior like that would have resulted in instant firing, followed by an ass-kicking by fathers. This LGBTQ crap is nothing but a cover-up for perversion and mental illness. And “we” let it happen.

How could this possibly be a federal issue?

Evidently the Trump appointed judge believes in the old maxim:

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the confused.

In high schools across America:

"Hey Joey - Let's say we're girls and run into the girls showers!"
"Don't worry, my dad Elizabeth know a good tranny lawyer."
"C'mon - it'll be fun! ..."

I think it has something to do with federal funding or federal civil rights laws, relating to Title 9 and sex discrimination.

And courts have been digging into this transgender business as some sort of sex discrimination.

Article II provides the president no such powers.
It’s insane that we’re even having this conversation.

“And courts have been digging into this transgender business as some sort of sex discrimination.”

Except how can any such thing as “sex discrimination” exist if we can’t even define sex anymore? Discrimination kind of requires some definable quality that you discriminate based on.

Well, the liberals have decided that “transsexual” individuals are discriminated against due to “gender identity” or their “sex transition”, thus is allegedly considered sex discrimination.

I can’t say this makes sense, only that the liberals have decided that this “transgender” business is a matter of civil rights.
