Man Accused of Attack on GOP Rep. Zeldin Immediately Released after Being Charged with Felony

A 43-year-old man accused of attacking Representative Lee Zeldin (R., N.Y.) with a sharp object at a campaign stop in upstate New York on Thursday evening was charged with a felony and released from custody just hours after his arrest, police said.

Zeldin, who is New York’s Republican gubernatorial candidate, was giving a speech on bail reform at a stop on his “Unite to Fire Hochul” bus tour in Perinton when David G. Jakubonis allegedly charged at him and pulled out a sharp object.

The truly disgusting things about this are that the perpetrator was released on bail and that he was only charged with attempted assault, when he clearly attempted to murder representative Zeldin. The weapon he carried was nothing but a murder weapon, a double bladed instrument designed to be stabbed into the neck of the victim and sever the victim's carotid artery and jugular vein.

Now it's come to three: the attempt to murder Steve Scalise, the attempt to murder Justice Kavanaugh, and this brand-new attempt to murder Lee Zeldin. These things are deliberately incited by the highest levels of the Democrat party including Pres. Biden and Atty. Gen. Garland, neither of whom is willing to enforce the clear law against picketing and demonstrating in front of judges' homes and places of work. Instead, Garland and Biden encourage the activity by saying people have a right to demonstrate there, while totally ignoring the law they are both constitutionally obligated to uphold. This affirmatively encourages the kind of violence we have seen regarding Zeldin, Kavanaugh, and Scalise. It also encourages more attempted copycats. Someday one of those copycats is going to get lucky and managed to kill someone. The full moral and, hopefully, legal guilt will lie on the Democrat party.

Thanks for posting this. If you look carefully you can see the attacker moving with the double bladed stabbing instrument and getting almost to Zeldin’s throat, after which he would have slit Zelda’s throat, probably severing both the carotid artery and the jugular vein and killing Zeldin. If there’s ever been an attempted murder on national TV, this is it.

Two sitting Congressmen were actually assaulted (Scalise shot nearly to death), the first attacker was killed by Capitol Police, but the second was set free by New York state.

Regarding Hunter Biden being potentially charged with failing to register as a foreign agent, recall that Paul Manafort was charged with the same thing and was arrested and placed in solitary confinement before even being tried. Will Hunter Biden go free?
