[I suppose Putin is just going to have to invade and annex those ungrateful countries that don’t want to help him invade and annex other ungrateful countries.]
That’s principally the reason they’re not happy about the invasion of Ukraine - the expectation that Ukraine is just the first stop on a long journey. Wars use up materials and foot soldiers. That’s why conquerors grow stronger as they add territory - the addition of material resources and foot soldiers aids them in future expeditions. They don’t want Russia getting any stronger.
Self-interest, rather than ideology, feeds their opposition. For pretty much the same reason, the US allied with a genocidal Russia against a genocidal Germany during WWII. Prewar China had been a corrupt and massacre-happy mess.

The US allied with it to prevent Japan from consolidating its hold on the manpower of a continental-sized country, and deploying it elsewhere during Japan’s wide-ranging wars of conquest.
“They don’t want Russia getting any stronger.”
It is not just historical grievances against aggressive Russian domination - it is revulsion at the brutality and immorality of what Russia is doing today.
Russia is perpetrating a massive crime wave, and all the neighbors see it. All the neighbors not only fear for themselves, but see the utter immorality of Russia’s behavior. The torture, the looting, the mass targeting of civilians and essential infrastructure. It is monstrous. Nobody wants to have to live in that kind of hell-realm, where the FSB reigns.
