Democrats Favored to Win Senate for First Time as Polling Improves: 538
Newsweak ^ | 7/27/22 | Jack Dutton

For the first time, political polling website FiveThirtyEight shows the Democrats with an edge in the race for the U.S. Senate in November.

The website late on Tuesday showed the Democrats had a 52 percent chance of keeping the Senate majority, while the Republicans had a 48 chance.

There had been consensus for a long time that the Republicans will win back the Senate this fall, buoyed by high inflation and economic downturn under Democrat Joe Biden's presidency.

FiveThirtyEight believes that the Republicans have selected some "weak candidates" in some key races, meaning that they are less likely to take the upper chamber than previously predicted.

Kinda depressing, but I think Oz and Walker are going to sink the GOP's chances for much, if any, gains this time.

Lots of voters must think starving to death is going to be fun.

Still sounds like a tossup. With the economy declining and Biden’s dementia worsening things are not looking up for the Dems. It will come down to whether the GOP screws up or not by no producing effective messaging that has been handed to them on a Silver platter.

The Senate was always going to be dicey, plus there aren’t really any good MAGA Senate candidates. It’s all about getting the House now, the Senate is going to take some time.

All politics is local, and it still boils down to the individual candidates. The problem with “generic” Candidates is that they simply don’t exist in the real world.

I expect more crap like this leading up to November. Media shilling, trying to generate enthusiasm with Yoga pant liberal Moms, Blacks, Trannies and College students. I see the ads, guns, abortions, and climate change is all they got. Winning issues right there..../sarc

No, this is just the beginning of the gaslighting to come. The only way they can win is through fraud. And in order to make any fraudulent outcome palatable for low iq voters, they have to start marinating the narrative with the fact that the polls are too close to call. This article is just the beginning. I believe that the entire nation is at least a +60% majority that is moving very far away from the Democrats and WON’T be voting blue in November

Thanks Mitch and Kevin. GOP voters hear no response from them during the Jan. 6th witch hunt. Why vote?

Was there any doubt that all the GOP’s hard work to insure continued minority status would succeed?

By the time November arrives, even the House might be back to tossup status...
The GOP WILL NOT fail to preserve their preferred status...

Plus there’s Bezos, Soros, and 45-to-50 million MIVs to reckon with...

The 'Inflation Diet' is causing me to lose weight just fine.
I don't need the 'Starvation Diet'.

That the senate is up for grabs with all the horrific behavior by the Dems over the past decade plain for all to see shows beyond a doubt how irredeemably lost the U.S. is. It no longer exists.
