GOP activists: Let’s vote in NY Democratic primaries to elect moderates

New York City Republican Party activists are encouraging thousands of GOPers to temporarily enroll in the Democratic Party to help elect the most moderate or conservative Democratic candidates in the upcoming primaries for Congress and state Senate.

Because of the Democratic Party’s gerrymandering debacle, there is no deadline for re-enrolling in a political party for the Aug. 23 primary, which means voters can change their party registration at the voting booth on primary day by filling out an affidavit ballot.

“I’m speaking to Republican leaders about this issue. We’ve created an opportunity for Republicans to elect moderate Democrats,” said former longtime Brooklyn Republican Party chairman Craig Eaton.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Right now New York City is a wrecking ball and in a downward spiral.”

Take it a step further like the Democrats do. Run conservatives as fake liberals.

"New York City Republican Party activists"

How many New York City Republican Party activists can there possibly be? Not enough to fill a small room.

Like 4th Century Rome, there is no hope for New York City (and most blue cities/states) until it completely depopulates, and that may take a couple of hundred years.

At the U.S. House level, seeing as how the filing deadline in New York was June 10th, it’s way too late for any Republican to get on the ballot as a fake Democrat, so this whole plan is a moot point because only REAL Democrats are already on the ballot.... and how many of them actually qualify as “moderate”?

Probably zero or close to it.

Of New York’s 26 U.S. House districts, only 13 of them are currently held by Democrats AND have multiple Democrats running. In the other 13, either Democrats are unopposed in the primary or the districts are already held by Republicans (so who cares which Rat wins the primary?).

At the state Senate level, there are only 2 districts in which multiple Democrats filed to run.

New York’s own little Operation Chaos was a good in theory, but the probability of it being effective is quite low.

Too late now. See post 6.

Unfortunately, NY Election Law requires a voter changing party affiliation to have been enrolled in the party one year before voting in that party’s primary election.

By the way, all those Red states that allow “open” primaries should change their laws to prohibit this meddlesome practice, notwithstanding the hilarity of Rush’s Operation Chaos!

Maybe the 1 year deadline applies in a typical year, but not this time:

“Because of the Democratic Party’s gerrymandering debacle, there is no deadline for re-enrolling in a political party for the Aug. 23 primary, which means voters can change their party registration at the voting booth on primary day by filling out an affidavit ballot.”

This is why conservatives and patriots need to find and run MAGA red Donald Dem DINOs in Dem primaries.

Why even bother trying to save N.Y.? Let it spiral right down the toilet. They deserve everything they voted for.

Only one problem. There are no moderate Dems in NY. Period.
Choose between Che’, Mao, or Stalin.
