'This is a climate suicide pact': Now environmental group slams Manchin's multi-billion dollar spending package that would include oil and gas leasing in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico

The deal that West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin reached with Majority Leader Charles Schumer that contains billions for clean energy programs also would mandate offshore oil and gas drilling in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico.

Additionally, the package commits Democratic leaders to moving new legislation to streamline permitting process for pipelines and other projects – a move Manchin called essential to his own backing for the package, which would include $433 billion in new spending as well as $739 billion in new revenue over a decade.

'Without what you just mentioned there is no bill,' Manchin told MetroNews in West Virginia.

'Without permitting reforms, without the ability for America to do what it does best, produce, there is no bill,' he said. He predicted among the first projects to move would be a LNG pipeline through parts of West Virginia and southern Virginia.

“additionally, the package commits Democratic leaders to moving new legislation to streamline permitting process for pipelines and other projects...”

Yeah, you bet. Pie in the sky. Dems will stall, back out of permitting pipeline or other projects. This is just political cover for Manchin in his home state of W.Va.

"Climate Suicide"?

The climate is going to kill itself?

That means we had nothing to do with it.

Okay. . . Since we're making up words:

How about "Patria-cide", the killing of one's country.

Democrats don’t follow or uphold laws they do not like. And they do it knowing there are no consequences.

These envirowackos are people who know that they have never contributed anything of substance in their lives, so rather than put in the work necessary to achieve real success, they instead latch onto this environmental nuttery because it provides them an easy way to claim to be “saving the world.” They’re able to erase the feelings of guilt for not working at an honest job, as their neighbors are, by fantasizing that those hard workers are actually “climate villains”, who are destroying the Earth, and they are coming to the rescue to save it from them. It’s a delusion that permits the lazy and incompetent to feel superior to the industrious and competent.
