If we bow now that is a green light for them to invade as they will know we will not intervene .

I also disagree with him. If Pelosi doesn’t go, it looks like she’s caving in to Chinese pressure. Not that she hasn’t done it before.

I don't know why Nancy Pelosi needs to go to Taiwan in the first place, but at this point, it's probably the best of bad options.

Keep in mind that the native Taiwanese were friendly to the Japanese after Japan made it a colony. The natives were not impressed by their new Chinese overlords after WWII, and are not the ones that will fight - it's the Chinese nationalists against the communists. Chinese against Chinese, the native Austronesians will take to the mountains.

....you stole my thunder...!!! indeed, I forgot to post - why in HELL is she planning on going there in the first place...??!! she has no legal authority to do much of anything as Speaker of the House...she cannot conduct foreign policy with these slime-balls, so what is the purpose of her trip....?? no one seems to be able to answer that question....
If it annoys Communist China, I’m in favor of it. The idea that the CCP has the right to dictate whether US politicians - even Nancy Pelosi - can visit Taiwan is disgusting.

Does anyone know of any rational reason for Pelosi and her entourage to go on an Asian trip with a stop in Taiwan?
I tend to believe that’s the REAL reason for her trip; to make things worse. The DS’s Military-Industrial Complex needs more warfare; so they can sell more $tuff!
