The Threat of Nuclear War
Al Jazeera ^ | 7/29/2022 | Inside Story

Is the world edging towards an ‘accidental’ nuclear war? UK National Security Adviser warns of warfare due to communication breakdown between the West, Russia and China.

The West could accidentally stumble into a nuclear war with Russia or China, according to the United Kingdom’s national security adviser Stephen Lovegrove.

He says communication channels between the West and its rivals have collapsed, citing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as the clearest example of this breakdown.

I thought this was a really interesting video. They made two interesting points, I thought: 1) if the West fails to contain Russia's involvement in Ukraine, fails to somehow "win" the interaction, other countries will see this as weakness and be tempted to acquire their own nuclear deterrent, and 2) if we can't restore the nuclear deal with Iran now, when we need their oil worse than ever, when will we, and how can the Mideast NOT blow up as a result?

This comment should be a dead giveaway that the video is coming from the Obama-wing of the Globalist establishment.

Iran is not our friend, and has not been since the Peacock Throne was overthrown in 1979 and the Islamic Republic of Iran, a theocratic state, was established.

Jimmy Carter thought that was a good idea. Thank you, Jimmy.

Now put the genie back in the bottle.

So muzzies don’t like nukes, unless Iran has them.

The nuclear deal with iran was against our interests. obama would never have entered into an agreement that was favorable to the USA. He embraced alliances with terrorist muzzies who hate us, and with communists who hate us.

Every time the U.S. screws around with a foreign country to push for the overthrow of a government, they create a bigger mess whose fallout lasts decades. You’d think we’d learn, but the globalists in the U.S. State dept think they know better.

We’ve gone from the strongest nation on the planet to a weak nation no rival fears in less than 18 months. Every government knows we allowed our election to be stolen and they no longer respect us. This was always Obama’s and his handlers plan. 2 and a half more years and we are royally F-ed.

It’s now been roughly forty years since I’ve studied the threat of nuclear war, the use of tactical nukes, and nuclear terrorism. The players and policies and geopolitical balances are ever changing and I could write a mile long thread on what I’ve learned - and about dozens of scenarios. For now, I’ll just say that it’s instructive to watch what our adversaries do during times when our administrations are weak. I predicted Russia would make moves during B-HO’s Admin, and they did in dominating the arctic. Today, our enemies are again quickly moving their chess pieces in place, both here and abroad, in both obvious and subtle ways. In my opinion, the future use of nuclear weapons is inevitable. The good news/bad news is that the MAD policy has now become obsolete. Nuclear war is now winnable, but at great short term cost. The majority of our enemies play the long game, so I pay attention to actions rather than words. Mostly, keep eyes on China. Their aggressive moves in military, corporate, geopolitical, drug, biowarfare, and land acquisition are multiple rooks being positioned more swiftly than ever before. Biden is their greatest gift and they have much to accomplish in the next two years. Tactical nukes can easily be secreted into position, smuggled in packs of fentanyl (think about THAT for a minute) shuttled through a weak border. Many of the “Fang Fangs” have already been secreted in and work in our airports and nearly every other institution; they need not be nor are they “spies” as conjured by Hollywood - only loyal patriots to the party. All this while China also develops weaponized nanotechnology that will make their take over very clean, once completed. We will then be neutered from submarines to silos. The grand finale is on the horizon, barring God’s plans to the otherwise, and not even men like President Trump can save us as the rot from within will take too long to destroy and replace.

Fun simulation. Scroll down to “Large-Scale Attack Simulator (USA)”, click the link and launch. At least DC gets hit first. You can click on strikes to see name and type of target, radiation levels, etc.

Looks like I get vaporized in the second wave :(

if we can't restore the nuclear deal with Iran now,

I certainly hope it isn't restored because that Obama deal was the worst deal in the history of planet Earth.

Well, maybe Obama's deal to give the Taliban four generals in exchange for a sergeant who abandoned his post in a war zone and should have been shot for desertion is a close second.

Even with only an average imagination at work, it doesn’t take much to visualize all sorts of surprise military horrors that China (or other adversaries) could inflict upon us.

Think Pearl Harbor, but within the Continental U.S. and with enemy forces and weapons already in place. Does anybody really believe we haven’t already allowed hundreds of terrorists into our country?

“This comment should be a dead giveaway that the video is coming from the Obama-wing of the Globalist establishment.”

...woah... talk about jumping to conclusions! Of course, Al Jazeera has their own slant on things... but that doesn’t make them an arm of the Deep State. If anything, they’re an arm of the Qatari gov’t, dedicated to appearing impartial - because if they didn’t, people would stop reading! I think it was Vonnegut - a dedicated leftist, but still occasionally correct - who said, we are what we pretend to be, so we should be careful what we pretend to be. If Al Jazeera is working at appearing impartial, they can’t be TOO tendentious without it showing... and it doesn’t show to me.

Well, no - Pakistan has nukes, and they’re Muslim. I don’t see anything in the video that’s particularly supportive of Iran getting nukes, either... instead, the video seems to me to be generally wanting to tamp down the intensity level, and if you agree with me that humans should be preserved (a questionable thesis), then that’s probably a good thing...

Eh, who knows. I disagree. I think Trump is going to get a second term. I think Dobbs put him over the top on that. Who have the democrats got? Nobody.

...not that that means he’ll take down the Deep State. The nature of the Deep State is such that you can only really expect to win for about ten seconds every twenty years. Whether our closest ten seconds is behind us or ahead of us, who knows.

...well, and who needs terrorists when you’ve got plenty of homegrown weirdos ready to get out there and gun down a bunch of schoolkids, right? ...no, I’m not saying GUNS are bad, I’m saying WEIRDOS are bad.

Honestly, the threat of terrorism seems a lot lower since the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan... cause and effect? Could be...
