“Black Lives Matter,” the racehorse which gained national attention for its demonstrative moniker, has died, according to its owners. The Hatley family, which became the first Black family to race quarter horses in Texas, revealed that its colt had mysteriously died following a routine veterinary procedure.
The horse was admitted last week to an equestrian veterinary clinic in Texas, but when the Hatleys arrived to retrieve their prize-winning pet he was found unresponsive and lying still in a stall.
We took our horse BLM an hour away for a VET for a short, simple procedure that will collect sperm for future breeding and also have him castrated so that he can perform without overactive hormones and have better success during the race,” explained Keeundra Hatley-Smith in an Instagram post.
She continued, “We left him healthy! But when we returned to pick him up he didn’t respond.”

"There is no proof of post op care and documentation. We are so hurt!” said Hatley-Smith. “We need answers and we want justice!”
She theorized that the horse’s death could have been racially charged.
“This is proof that Black people AND THIER PETS are neglected in all aspects of the medical fields,” concluded Hatley-Smith. “My children loved him and knew exactly what his name stood for. Now it’s gone!”

I figure the owner killed it. I wonder if the insurance company will investigate.
Answering my own question, he was deep chestnut with a black mane. An HOC (Horse of Color).
And as I recall, Mr. Ed was a White Supremacist.

I’d suspect the owner of doing something to their horse for insurance or doping them and it went wrong.
That crossed my mind. This sounds like an insurance scam. Collect the sperm, sacrifice the horse, collect the insurance and sell the sperm to the highest bidder.
Any time a black activist calls for “justice” they mean massive sums of cash and the destruction of at least a few innocent non-black lives that happened to have an ancillary involvement in the larger story.

Ms. Hatley-Smith, sorry for your loss, but sometimes a simple surgical procedure goes wrong. You may want to refrain from attatching the label of Racism onto this incident so quickly.
Otherwise, you may find that only black Veterinarians want to risk working with you, lest their reputations be ruined by your public reactions!
