I don’t agree with a lot of that.

The Founding Principles, as embodied in the Constitution, provide a far more succinct and functional roadmap for Conservatism.

Really, it is just one principle: Limited Government.

Power corrupts. Government must always be limited and decentralized, so that states must compete for the consent of individuals.

Conservatives will give, and give, and give UNTIL they reach their endpoint...then there are no more deadly foes. Original case in point....the American Revolution. That time is not quite yet, but very near.

Incoherent.

Work with all people of good will.

Sounds good. How do we put it into practice?

Stop trying to look ‘reasonable’ or ‘nice’ to progressives.

Remember, you are not trying to establish an environment of tolerance and mutual-understanding.

Point out that your opponents are both ridiculous and revolting.

So all we have to do is define anyone we disagree with as acting in bad faith?

That sounds like a great way to organize a society. Might be a little intellectually lazy, though…

A very interesting article.

I don’t think conservatives are lousy when it comes to activism. I think conservatives and liberals who have been used to the idea that most people share particular ideas of theirs, and then discover that it’s not, or at least no longer, true, can resent being roused from slumber on an issue. The Tea Party activists have been very effective for conservatism, here in the US. Of course this article is from a European perspective...

I don’t think conservatives should be sitting at the wokies’ feet, either. To me, what the wokies have demonstrated most clearly is just how much love and acceptance you can get when you talk absolute rot. People are crazy. Good to know, but not properly educational.

I do think that the one thing the conservative movement lacks here in the US is some concern with heart. Conservatives here in the US appear to be a kind of union, which is on strike to raise the pay of its members, and with absolutely no concern for anyone who doesn’t happen to also be conservative. This is a poor recommendation for a governance role. Those who aspire to governance must have some care for ALL the people, not just those who agree with them.

The idea that the wokies have a vision of the world is quite new to me, and I’ve been following wokism pretty closely. The thoughts of wokies are so incoherent that I would have said they don’t qualify as a vision in any meaningful sense.

Well, I’m not going to get into the actual recommended principles; I disagreed with so much in the prologue that nothing can seriously be expected from the meat of the argument. But it was interesting, for sure. Thank you.

Someone at work today asked me “What if you were there (Jan 6) and you’d “gone in”?

I looked at her and said with disgust, I mean REAL disgust “I WOULDN’T have”. Not picking up on my meaning she said “But what if you did”? I said “Unless you’re going in there to slaughter everyone and hear the lamentations of their women and cucks, then leave them in peace”. Smashing into places they dont belong, doing random violence and property destruction is a Leftist tactic the Left have perpetrated for all of my 63 years. The Right doesnt do pointless childish crap. They tend more to tolerate others or wage war. There doesn’t seem to be an inbetween in the Right wing psyche. I honestly felt disgusted at the very thought of joining the idiots.

Conservatives are marshmallows being toasted routinely by our communist masters...

Anyone waiting for, or expecting, conservatives to undo the tyranny under which we currently exist is moderately insane...
