We need explicit laws which permit the use of lethal force to defend property in cases of robbery, whether it is by armed or unarmed perpetrators. Specifically, masked perpetrators should be considered an aggravating factor in a robbery and a mitigating factor for a person resisting a robbery by counterforce. Multiple perpetrators even more so.
The store owner was foolish to speak with reporters. They are agents of hostile organizations who consistently oppose any kind of citizen defense against criminal predation.
I would expect the store owner will be prosecuted for aggravated assault. And he might well be convicted of that under the State laws in effect today. That would depend on jury selection.
There could also be a civil suit. That robber who got stabbed looks to have been permanently disabled. Who is going to pay for his long-term care? Quite possibly, the store owner could be bankrupted by this.
"The process is the punishment." We need some major changes in laws.
After the robber said, “Don’t let me die”, it would’ve been cool if the clerk had said, “You should’ve made better choices.”
🤣 You win the thread!
To which I say: Chop, chop. Or go with Slices & Dices.

The kind that gets on TV. I worked for a pretty serious security firm and we avoided the media at all costs.

You don’t have the right to defend your property? How about Pelosi’s laptop. Would the Capitol po po use deadly force? You betcha, I cheered this guy wildly..... and his name is pronounced New Yen

and blown a lung clean out!
Seems the dude was working on his muscle car with wide track tires and wearing sandals.
He had the car running and his girl had her foot on the brake.(the car was in first with the clutch in, smart, huh?) This was all taking place in a gravel parking lot. As I understand the story baby's foot slipped off the brake, the car was in first gear and it ran the dudes foot over. I got a look at the guy when they bought him in. Looked like somebody took a meat tenderizer to his right foot. Anyway the damage looked worse than it actually was, they patched him up and gave him some pain meds. While they were making up his discharge papers I heard his girlfriend on a pay phone(remember them?) and she was telling somebody "He was DOA but he got better!''. You can't make this stuff up.
That was in August,. Any update on what has happened since?
