A group of hazardous synthetic chemicals called PFAS, which don’t break down in the environment, have been found in rainwater across the globe at levels which make it unsafe to drink, according to a new study.

Ya gotta die of something.
Well then they don't break down when the rain water frefreshes the aquifer. Therefore no water, anywhere, is safe. The authors of this article should kill themselves now, so as to spare themselves the horror of drinking water.
From the article:
...we can do very little to reduce the PFAS contamination.
...The time to act is now!
Ten what water is coming out of our taps??

That would help conserve resources. They should turn off their air conditioners first.

I’m on the psyllium husk pretty heavy.
The other stars on the stage (to include Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Winwood, and even George Harrison's son) start smiling and shaking their head in amazement.

I wonder if this is true.
And, what about spike proteins, do they break down in the aquaifer/environment?
Watch his Montreux shows from around 2011, just amazing.
We really are screwed

The article implies that there are methods to reduce it.
They accumulate in blood and bile. Those who donate blood, reduce it. Bile contains more than blood. Eating fiber reduces it from bile.
I’m really screwed since I have lived on Catchment water for the last 22 years and will have to for the foreseeable future.
There is no government provided water available in my part of Hawaii. Many thousands of us share the same fate.
It’s sad, but we have been lied to so many times, my first reaction to stories like this is “bullish!t”!
The Weather channel is packed full of liberal greenie weenies.
The way I take this, they don’t want people self-reliant by collecting rainwater.
I’ll be gathering rainwater in a crapola hits the fan scenario.
Oldie, but goodie...now, awesome-y ;-)
I love playing that one, at the lake, full blast.
If the chemicals are in rainwater everywhere, does that mean the chemicals are in the clouds before it rains? The chemicals are in the water vapor and are always there? The article seems to be equating ground water, after it rains, with “rainwater”.
Agree.
Worst case?
Run your collected rainwater through a Berkey, if one is concerned....
Do Berkey Filters Remove PFCs/PFAS (PFOA and PFOS)?
Yes, see test results...

I wonder if ozone disintegrates it.
