Ban gasoline and diesel taxes. When you do your annual car registration, the odometer is read. Tax is based on miles driven and vehicle mass. More mass and more miles is more usage and more tax.

SOOOO—Are the DMV locations nationwide going to believe your numbers on the registration paperwork??? OR will everyone have to TAKE their vehicles to DMV for a reading???

"Ban gasoline and diesel taxes. When you do your annual car registration, the odometer is read. Tax is based on miles driven and vehicle mass. More mass and more miles is more usage and more tax." Exactly...no need for any real-time surveillance state. 'Tain't "rocket science"....

Ban gasoline and diesel taxes. When you do your annual car registration, the odometer is read. Tax is based on miles driven and vehicle mass. More mass and more miles is more usage and more tax. And if you drive on vacation in other states, that mileage will be taxed in your state not theirs. This is one reason they are pushing universal monitoring. To make it more "fair". Of course, the fact that they get to track people's movements is just an incidental and unintended side-effect of this.
