Federal law prohibits someone convicted of mishandling documents from holding any office in the United States,
Trump, in his dramatic announcement of the raid, did not specifically say what the federal agents were looking for, just that his home was 'under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents.'
Trump could be facing 'significant criminal exposure' if the FBI raid determines he destroyed government records, Rahmani, who is president of West Coast Trial Lawyers, told DailyMail.com Monday night.
He said Trump would likely be charged under US Code Title 18, Section 2071 which involves concealment or destruction of US government documents.
The code states that anyone who 'willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record' could be fined and sentenced to a maximum of three years in prison.

The documents were not taken by him personally, but gathered by the GSA and sent to him. This same documents were looked at by the FBI 2 months ago and nothing wad done.
This is not about documents - its about bringing a criminal felonious charge to try to prevent him from running again.
This desperate action says to me that Ron Klein, Biden’s Chief of Staff and the architect of the 2020 election subversion, is worried he cannot pull it off a second time. Chain of command: Klein told Garland, who told Wrey, who ordered the raid. The Usurper may have had a hand in there somewhere also.
It also should say to everyone that the outcome of the Fall elections are hugely in doubt, and despite the prognoses, could easily become a Blue Wave - as that is the only way these vile people, who value power above all else, can survive.
Judicial Watch was already suing to have the documents released. Seems the feds want to pick and choose what they leak.

Don’t know about FEMA but there was a time 40 years ago when many of us commercial salmon fishermen were sent of Federal prison for the crime of fishing commercially.

Federal law is not superior to the Constitution. The qualifications for the presidency are clearly laid out in Article II of the Constitution, and federal law cannot amend that.
The only bar to holding the office of President is impeachment and removal, the 14th amendment prohibition via a finding of insurrection, or the 25th amendment finding of incapacitation.
This will go nowhere.
