Oregon is in a banning mood.
The City of Bend this week is considering banning pet stores from selling cats, dogs and rabbits. Oddly, there is no store in Bend that actually sells cats, dogs and rabbits, so this ban would stop any store in the future from considering it. Such a ban could have the unintended consequence of reducing oversight of known sellers, while driving up the price of private sellers in the private unregulated market.
The City of Eugene has been debating banning natural gas from being installed in most new homes being constructed. Expect energy prices to go higher.
Portland is debating banning the sale of diesel fuel in fueling stations and instead mandate that they sell diesel fuel made by vegetable oil and animal fat. Portland would be the first city in the nation to do so. Previously, Portland banned sparklers and fireworks to combat climate change.
These bans reflect that Oregon is out of ideas … and that a handful of people are obsessed with abolition and banning their way to a new paradise.
— Don’t forget last year when the politicians tried to ban bacon from hospitals and hospices.
“Do these pets have to be alive?”
No, so it’s all right to sell parrots.
That’s their plan.
Ain’t enough fried food grease from burgers and fries to power a mini Cooper but if you start mining the malls you might be able to fuel the cities lights... For a month.
So slitting their own throats is not enough, beating ones self with a bat, stabbing ones self with a knife several times in the chest, running over ones self with a car they themselves are driving. How mentally ill can you be
“Any trucking company going into portland should raise their rates to reflect the banning of diesel.”
How about trucking companies refusing to allow their trucks to enter the city at all.
They don’t want to burn
I’m pretty sure Bend used to be red, but a bunch of Portland refugees ruined it.
