California Governor Gavin Newsom unveiled a new water strategy on Thursday that plans for a future with 10% less water and shifts the emphasis from conservation to capturing more water that otherwise flows out to sea.

The state has budgeted more than $8 billion in the past three years to modernize water infrastructure that Newsom said would generate enough water for 8.4 million households in a state of 40 million people.

His plan calls for creating storage for 4 million acre-feet of water and recycling or reusing 800,000 acre-feet per year by 2030 in addition to more stormwater capture and desalination projects.

Release the Owens Valley water to the locals and use nuke powered ocean desalinization plants for all of the illegals in the LA basin.

California needs to go Arrakis.

But they won't.

There’s a gazillion canyons in this state. Dam them off and run pipes to the main lines. SHould have been done a bazillion years ago.

Let’s see. Forty percent of the state is made up of illegals and Gavin can’t figure out why there’s not enough water. The. He wonders why there isn’t enough water even after seeing trillions of gallons flow into the Pacific Ocean.

Quite frankly, no one should be surprised given that human trafficking, murder, theft, and drug abuse are encouraged activities in California. People must condone these activities because they keep electing the people who write the laws.endorsing criminal activities.

No one in this state has any common sense.

CA hasn’t built a new reservoir since 1974. They’ve lost 50 years of water. Wake up the Rats greens and commie reds will destroy our country without your vote.

Unless it’s huge underground cisterns, the enviros won’t let it happen.

I know. Get the Feds to dam and cover the LA “River”. Of course, the homeless and their Soros-funded lawyers will sue and win. Wait, wait. Ban flush toilets! Of course, grass (the lawn plant) will be illegal. Or, or, redesign the bullet train, so it can transport water from northern California, without endangering the salmon.

The Los Vaqueros Reservoir and watershed is located in the northern Diablo Range, within northeastern Contra Costa County, northern California. It was completed by the Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) in 1998.

OTHER THAN THAT, though... yeah.
