Dodge’s V8-powered muscle cars are nearing the end of the assembly line.
The automaker has announced that production of the current Challenger and Charger will end in December 2023 before they are replaced by a new electric vehicle platform.
The Charger sedan has been in production at the automaker’s Brampton, Canada, factory since 2005, where the Challenger coupe joined it in 2008. Over three billion horsepower-worth of cars have been built since.
Dodge is having a blowout celebration for both models with a slew of special editions and options, along with the installation of a commemorative "Last Call" badge under the hood of every 2023 vehicle.
Pricing and additional information will be released in the coming weeks and the six-cylinder Challenger and Charger models will also be discontinued.
The first electric Dodge muscle car is scheduled to be released for the 2024 model year.

America is going to look like Cuba, where people are still driving 50 year old cars.
Imagine the Daytona 500 in silence.............................
Ok. Let them go bankrupt.
Hope they save the engineering blueprints for when mass reality sets in eventually.
So Big Oil will remain mute and just go along with the AGW fallacy and facilitate lithium wastelands?
If you so happen to have one of these in your garage in 20 years, you can expect it to be confiscated without compensation by the enviro-Nazis.
That is, if we still have a country in 20 years.
Just....criminal.
You’ll be sorry!!
I’ll bet there are plenty of marketing experts at GM right now who can tell you electric cars are not going to work for the majority of their consumers.
But these same marketing directors intend to keep their jobs for now.
Even if you don’t qualify for the $7,500, the price of the car went up $7,500. Surprise, surprise. The car makers are raising their prices an amount equal to the federal credit.
Apparently we have an infinite amount of raw materials for batteries, and we have no logistical issues…
I wonder where they plan to get all the electricity once every idiot, including millions of illegal aliens, are driving an “electric” car. Sometimes it doesn’t pay to think retarded. People are going to have to make “choices”. Charge the cellphone, turn on the AC, or charge the battery on your car. You aren’t going to be able to do them all and it is going to cost you if you do.
Imagine a Daytona 500 where the cars have to charge for 4 hours every 50 laps.
The people that buy these cars like them for the V8. They don’t want to contend with charging stations and range anxiety. This will be a $60k+ car and a huge mistake.
Maybe AMC can make a comeback and become America’s ICE manufacturer. Sell updated Eagles and AMX’s. I can dream anyway.
Suicide is painless.
It brings on many changes...
Yep! But they will destroy the plans and tooling, just like the Saturn V rocket and F22.
“What? What do you mean we can’t source enough copper, lithium, cobalt, magnesium and manganese? Why didn’t somebody tell us?”
They Band the Granatelli Turbine at The INDY !

Andy would be Pissed.
AC? The power company will be controlling thermostats by then. Or the authorities in Panem. 🤔😵💫🤬
