The unveiling of a new Florida license plate by Governor DeSantis has liberals and leftist organizations up in arms.
Liberals are constantly willfully misinterpreting traditional American and patriotic flags and symbols to try to associate them with “right wing extremism.” One such victim of this misinterpretation is the iconic Gadsden Flag.
This iconic flag dates back to the time of the revolution and has been seen as a symbol of freedom, defiance in the face of oppression, and American patriotism ever since.
Now, Governor Ron DeSantis has released a new Florida license plate which prominently features the Gadsden flag design:
First teased at the end of July, the plate design has acquired considerable flak from liberal outlets and institutions such as NPR and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
The flag was first designed for the U.S. Navy in 1775 by Colonel Christopher Gadsden.
Gadsden took inspiration from pro-American imagery created by Benjamin Franklin, who was the first to use a rattlesnake to symbolize the 13 colonies.
The flag was intended to symbolize defiance of the British crown’s tyranny, and features a rattlesnake rising against a metaphorical treading boot.
NPR, however, willfully ignores that in their hysterical response....

What aren’t liberals furious about/
I guess those that don’t like it must prefer to be tread on.
They did it with the Confederate battle flag and now they’re trying it with the Betsy Ross flag and the Gadsden flag and the Goliad flag.
Don’t worry. They’ll get to the stars and stripes soon enough. Some have already gone there.
and by the way YES, I said they would do exactly this 30 years ago when the PC Revisionists started doing it with the Confederate battle flag. You had to be either a complete moron or willfully blind not to see what was coming.

Florida should require plates for bicycles and use the flag on those too. Filthy bicycles are spreading rubber (oil) fragments everywhere they go.

Gadsden flag is the best flag ever. The design, the colors, the message.
It doesn’t take much to send them into their next meltdown.
Sometimes a state license plate is just a state license plate. Grow up. It does not mean anything significant.
They are furious about everything. They must be apoplectic about New Hampshire’s plates.

All reasons for liberals to hate the Don’t Tread On Me symbolism. Libs would be applauding if the plate featured Che Guevera, or some other socialist murderer.
Meanwhile, in CA, Newsom introduces the new “Bend Over and Take It” plates. Already SOLD OUT to liberal supporters saying “Yes, please, Lord Newsom”.

Florida has a ton of options when it comes to plates.....I’ve been considering getting one lately but couldn’t decide which......looks like this is it.

I moved to a different town about 3 years ago, some American were flags being flown, but not in my immediate area.
Since I started flying mine, two close-by neighbors are now flying them as well.
Fly the flag, it catches on.
Saw a Virginia plate yesterday, looks very bold.
