Ex-Russian MP claims Russian partisans responsible for Moscow car bomb
The Guardian (UK) ^ | 21 Aug 2022 | Luke Harding

Posted on 08/21/2022 5:38:31 PM PDT by BeauBo

A former member of Russia’s Duma who was expelled for anti-Kremlin activities has claimed that Russian partisans were allegedly behind a car bomb which blew up the daughter of one of Vladimir Putin’s close political allies on the outskirts of Moscow (Darya Dugina, daughter of Alexander Dugin).

Speaking in Kyiv, where he is based, Ilya Ponomarev alleged the explosion on Saturday evening was the work of the National Republican Army, which he claimed was an underground group working inside Russia and dedicated to overthrowing the Putin regime...

Ponomarev said partisans inside Russia were ready to conduct further similar attacks against high-profile Kremlin-connected targets, including officials, oligarchs and members of Russia’s security agencies.

The former deputy read what purported to be an NRA manifesto: “We declare President Putin a usurper of power and a war criminal who amended the Constitution, unleashed a fratricidal war between the Slavic peoples and sent Russian soldiers to certain and senseless death.

“Poverty and coffins for some, palaces for others – the essence of his policy. We believe that disenfranchised people have the right to rebel against tyrants. Putin will be deposed and destroyed by us!”...

“Those who do not resign their power will be destroyed by us,” it said.

Other targets include corrupt businessmen, the homes and properties of those who fail to condemn the Kremlin and its war, and “employees of power structures”. Military cargoes and people who profit from them will also be wiped out, it said.

This is certain to whip them up in Moscow. He really knows what will set them off.

The six month anniversary and Ukrainian Independence Day are both on the 24th of August (Wednesday).

So Russia should at least launch a missile barrage, if not more.

British intel and the CIA would love for that to be true. The whole goal of this war of theirs is to cause Russia to implode somehow.
Prob Brit intel, using Ukrainians.

It is no more crazy that Ukes shelling the nuclear plant.

“Prob Brit intel, using Ukrainians.”

It would take some set to start blowing people and things up in Moscow.

It would probably need the support of some foreign intelligence service, even if it was not created out of whole cloth by that service.

Maybe Ukrainian Intelligence could take the lead (blame), with others “supporting”. They are already at full scale war.

Ukraine’s little green men fight their insurgency in Russia.

Turnabout is fair play.

Leave it to the Guardian to dredge up a blame Russia theme.

The man called “Putin’s Brain” was on a UKR organization’s “Enemies List”, along with Senator Rand Paul and Glen Greenwald, (a Leftist turned skeptic) reporter.

The bomber missed the target, who was in the car following the bombed vehicle carrying his daughter, instead.

A former Russian lawmaker has taken up arms and is currently fighting with Ukrainian Forces to fight his homeland because he wants “to defend humanity and Europe.” Ilya Ponomarev, formerly part of Russia’s Duma, is one of the few instances where you would actually see a Russian fighting on the Ukrainian side in unform. While he did say he was fighting on the side of the Ukrainians, we do not have information regarding what capacity he is serving in.

Ponomarev is not new to Ukraine, nor is he a new ally of Ukraine. In fact, Ponomarev gained notoriety in Russia and Ukraine in 2014 when he was the only Russian lawmaker who voted against Putin’s annexation of Crimea, making him a target in Moscow. When the Russian Duma passed the resolution to annex Crimea in a vote which tallied 445-1, Ponomarev was the “1” vote in dissent.

After this vote was called, populist leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky called for him to be kicked out of the Duma as his vote was “anti-state.” However, another senior member said that he could not be kicked out simply for the way they voted. Ponomarev would soon be forced to leave Russia Russia fearing being imprisoned or assassination. He said that there was no room for “independent thought” in parliament as they were all loyal to Putin.

So Russia should at least launch a missile barrage, if not more.

They do that anyway after every other day. Usually taking out apartment buildings, hospitals, and childrens schools. Then if it kills a bunch of kids, they say Ukraine bombed themselves, or that tanks were at the school.

GUR error. Both in terms of results and intent.

The result is understandable. A defenseless girl is killed, it causes absolutely unambiguous emotions in any person. After the video with the execution of Russian prisoners was published, we received more than a hundred letters from the Russian Federation with the same narrative: “I did not support the SVO because I don’t understand the term“ denazification ”and I don’t understand why bomb the fraternal people, but after watching this video I realized that Putin is right. I just didn’t know that Ukrainians are so bloodthirsty, but he apparently knew.”

And no one cared that they were Georgians‼️

We have written many times that such actions justify aggression inside Russia. Such attacks help the Kremlin to explain the previously inexplicable termite - “denazification”. A couple more such “actions” of intimidation and society in the Russian Federation is finally consolidated around the idea of “fighting absolute evil”.

This situation is most unfavorable for Ukraine. Therefore, the person who developed this operation is either stupid or an agent of the Kremlin.

As planned, the attack is also bad, very bad. In addition to all of the above, the thought of helplessness immediately comes to mind. Therefore, they chose an unguarded, but well-known person, who is easy to get to because of his publicity.
Together, these thoughts lead to the conclusion that the elimination of someone known in the West, and Dugin is just such, was supposed to show the “chiefs” that the GUR could carry out actions in the heart of Russia.

If you say that the GUR did not officially take responsibility. Well, look how much of this is happening in Kherson and Melitopol and read the comments of Ukrainian politicians. The smartest, of course, kept silent, but the stubborn, as always, rejoice publicly, which helps the Russian Federation to hang this on Ukraine and consolidate‼️

Resident
The problem with a terrorist attack is that it is a Pandora’s box that is easy to open, and who will close it is a question. All politicians have children and they have always remained out of the question under any government, for the actions of their parents. The Main Intelligence Directorate and the SBU have a large intelligence network inside Russia, they act independently and do not coordinate the details of the operation so that they cannot be calculated. Now the question is acute for the Ukrainian authorities how to respond to the explosion and whether to continue the chosen strategy. In the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, controlled terror was giving its results, most of the officials and the regional elite did not go over to the side of the Russian authorities, but now the situation is stalemate and the best format for the Office of the President is not to continue it.

Yes that’s true.

Some folks have speculated that Russian forces will try to make some more dramatic attack on Ukrainian Independence Day (this Wednesday), for psychological and political purposes.

Reportedly, several ships capable of launching cruise missiles have been moving closer to Odessa.

“It would take some set to start blowing people and things up in Moscow.”

I would think Limey targeting intel based on signal intel, Brit tech, using Ukes in the country that can easily blend like a local.

The set it would take to do this is similar to the one it would take to shell the nuclear power plant. The goal, widen the war, and hopefully create discord in the Ruski population.

Blow someone up, the release that you are pretty sure it was a Russia internal dissenter movement. Worked for Hitler. Worked in Syria. Worked in 2014 Kiev. Worked in 52 in Iran. A similar plan for us with Operation Northwoods.
It’s sort of a specialty for western intel.

Yeah, that would make sense for them to try such moves. But it will probably provoke something they can’t handle. Russia may decide to go ahead and move in big. Risky Uke move.

OK, I wasn't completely sure that this bombing was a CIA operation until now. However, naming the fake resistance group that no one has ever heard of before with the exqct same initials as the National Rifle Association? My certainly level is now 100%! This is exactly the kind of "too smart by half" kind of thinking that Langley is famous for. Their next move will be taking Zelensky or his family out and blaming Putin. And they will do it as smugly as when they had President Diệm and his brother murdered.
