The Russians have yet to go scorched earth. They have not gone after the electric grid, like we did against Serbia. Imagine Ukraine without electricity. Serbia conceded not long afterwards.
The Russians already control the biggest nuclear reactor in Europe, which is in Ukraine.
Winter is coming. Europe is paying energy costs that have risen exponentially. How long will the people support continuation of the war? The pressure will grow to end the war. Already Europe is slowing down its support to Ukraine.

Several things will be wearing them down, at the same time. Their economy in Depression, their finances bankrupt, and their conventional Military being decimated - as well as guerrilla warfare in areas they are trying to occupy.
Russia could quit anytime they choose, but they can’t keep up these losses for more than 2-3 years, against Western support.
After Europe gets through this tough Winter with energy prices, the butt hurt against Russia is going to be deep, to see it through for revenge. The war crimes trials are scheduled to start over this Winter as well, which is also likely to stiffen resolve to neuter the Putin mafiacracy regime.
