Here in the south-central US (TX, LA, MS, AR) we’ve had a week of solid rain - anywhere from 10 to 15 inches total. Unheard of in August in my lifetime, except when a tropical storm comes inland.
Well technically you are dealing with the remnants of tropical notice 4 — a system that came on shore and wandered north then east.
Depends on where you were. We “only” got 2.5” but we will take it. The clouds are also protecting us from the blast furnace. Come on September!
