The reason I found the other comparison flawed was the idea the the EU has
expanded farther than the NAZIs did.
I don’t see the comparison to be valid for anything other than a curiosity.
The NAZI holdings were due to captured and occupied territory.
The EU is a collective of sovereign nations that have chosen
alliance for economic cooperation. They sought to compete with
the US from a position of a comparative population base. “Clout”
If nations wish to form the same sort of alliances with Russia,
they are free to choose to, for national interest.
Attack, occupation, and annexation is not the same as the
EU model. It resembles the other model.
