All the NCIS are trash...it's always an evil, white-supremacist/religious/conservative/gun-toting male criminal, and the damsel in the end is always saved by...anyone but.
...then the local news comes on right after that trash(at least here in Detroit)and the faces of MOST of the REAL criminals...don't look like... white-supremacist/religious/conservative males.

We are always looking at strategies to ensure that our broadcast business remains as strong as possible. Yeah, I noticed if I watch a YouTube video from a nbc affiliate , at the end Lester Holt comes on, thanking you and reminding you to watch NBC nightly news

Seems that should be true of all the traditional networks. Comic books on video on HBO and Netflix etc are the big draw now.

The internet barely existed back then. Computers did to some extent but it took another decade before they and the internet became a household norm. And from there maybe another 30 years before the networks bite the dust.
