All these leftists really want is to live on a college campus forever. Everything is sooo hard once we have to make an actual effort to live adult lives.
We need to make cities and suburbs more like college so we never have to grow up. And jobs need be like college too, overpaid work/study so we have plenty of time to scroll our phones while we sip our soy latte.

Unfortunately, aside from the peaceful, verdant college campus, most "walkable spaces" are the abode of muggers, street thugs, homeless junkies, and violent schizophrenics.
We are still a big enough country for people to live in the kind of area they want to live in. This “density” thing has been politicized, but the difference seems to be between older communities that were built on a more human scale and newer communities that do seem like they were built for cars. You can certainly disagree with his love of “density,” but it’s not an all-or-nothing thing. Communities have to juggle to combine the needs of cars with the desire for more accessibility on foot. BTW, Living in a rural area may mean needing a car, but those areas weren’t “built” for cars.

Like I said, leftist-run S-holes, otherwise that mode of living would be perfectly fine for me.
