Home heating oil prices here are not dropping much.

We were extremely fortunate that last winter was mild enough and we burned enough wood that we only used on of our tanks.

However, it needs replenishing and we are watching home heating oil prices to see when would be a good time to buy.

I have suspected for some time now that prices will drop before midterms in a bid to help democrats win the elections. So we watch.

I’m a Florida boy (NOT FL Man). I do not like the cold.

I spent 8 miserable frozen years just outside Concord NH....our home was primarily wood heat w/ oil furnace backup. During the day, nobody home, the thermostat was set at 55. Rest of the time the fireplace insert kept the house toasty.

Went through 2-2-1/2 cords per season bought locally...very economical then. The oil company would send letters asking if we could please purchase more than the 150+/- gal of oil we burned per year.
